Reporting to the Controller, this position supports the Finance, Operations and Supply Chain departments. The position is responsible for providing financial information by maintaining and reconciling accounts, preparing reports, assisting with budgets and month end closing. The work is highly transactional in nature and requires great attention to detail.
Reporting to the Controller, this position supports the administrative needs of the Finance and Management team. This position is responsible for administrative and clerical financial duties as well as providing general office support to the managerial team of the plant.
This position is responsible for implementing and overseeing an effective Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management system that will ensure ongoing compliance toward US Ceramics LLC standards and regulatory compliance, while continuously improving the company culture. Candidates MUST have in depth working knowledge of MSHA regulations. The EH&S Specialist, in conjunction with plant management and the safety committee, will provide guidance, technical support, and coordinate safety activities and processes to the facility.
This position is responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative testing of “in process” materials and finished goods. The Quality Control department aids the production process through product control, verification procedures, organization and compliance, as well as inspection of finished goods.
This position is responsible for ensuring product which has been designated to be bagged for shipping is properly identified and bagged as per High School Diploma or equivalent required.the specifications of the order. This position works with Quality Assurance to test / validate product quality standards prior to shipping. The position is responsible for certifying that the material to be bagged is the correct product for the order, meets quality standards, is bagged at the correct weights, staged and filled bags are in good condition and product is properly loaded into shipping containers.
This position performs both mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment and machinery. Technicians install, maintain, upgrade, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and move machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings and work orders.
Maintenance Technicians are expected to be proficient in mechanical repair.
This position performs a multitude of tasks associated with the efficient running of the manufacturing process. They are the eyes and ears closest to the manufacturing process providing feedback to the Control Room Operators and Shift Supervisors on their area of the manufacturing process. Tasks include, but are not limited to, the movement of supplies and material, the loading and unloading of supplies and finished goods and insuring the overall smooth operation of manufacturing equipment. These positions are critical to performing the hands on functions which allow the equipment to function.
The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Finance Manager, USC. The role has primary responsibility for the financial reporting of the company, the month-end and year-end close processes, the supporting financial accounting systems, processes, and internal controls, the application of appropriate accounting standards, liaison with the external auditors, and maintaining the integrity of the financial systems and financial reporting.

These positions are critical to performing the hands-on functions which allow the equipment to function.
Control Room Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the facility, and for monitoring the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis. These positions monitor plant functions which impact the overall production and operation of the manufacturing organization. Control Room Operators work under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor responding to alarms by taking appropriate corrective actions to ensure that the plant meets its operational, environmental, and safety commitments while operating in a safe and environmentally efficient manner. In general, Control Room Operators will control the manufacturing process from a computer terminal and coordinate preventive maintenance of equipment. Operators are expected to get involved, take charge of situations, and confront business-related problems.
USC is looking for an R&D Scientist to conduct research in the laboratory, pilot plant, and plant. The person in this position will need to apply their knowledge of material science, ceramic engineering, and chemistry to develop products and improve products/manufacturing performance. Problem-solving, analyzing and interpreting data, making decisions, and providing clear direction are a must for this position.
USC is looking for a Sales Support Specialist to assist the sales team in obtaining and keeping customers They will help with Customer Service, Marketing, and Administration Duties for the fulfillment of sales and products for First Bauxite LLC and their subsidiary, US Ceramics LLC.
The Production Manager provides leadership to the shift supervisors and production employees. This position plans, organizes and controls production to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard. The position works closely with the EH&S Manager to administer safety programs and confirm communications and safety measures are in place at all times. This position ensures efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, quality assurance, maintenance, logistics / distribution and management.

The General Operator is primarily responsible for moving products or raw materials. This includes forklift hauling of bauxite hoppers to kiln feed and bagging and loading finished products. Loading tasks include ensuring the product designated to be bagged for shipping is properly identified and bagged as per the order's specifications. This position works with Quality Assurance to test/validate product quality standards prior to shipping. The position is responsible for certifying that the material to be bagged is the correct product for the order, meets quality standards, is bagged at the correct weights, staged and filled bags are in good condition, and the product is properly loaded into shipping containers. The position is responsible for notifying the Shift Supervisor when quality, safety, or production problems arise that cannot be resolved.
The Administrative & HR Coordinator will oversee the general administrative functions and activities of the office and support the HR Department.
This position is responsible for managing all maintenance aspects of the plant in a cost-efficient manner while enhancing the environmental, safety, quality, and long-term profitability aspects of the facility. Manage all capital improvements and upgrades related to maintenance and reliability. Implement and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Manage and provide leadership to the maintenance group. Manage site contractors. Interface with all departments to ensure work orders are planned and executed safely and with minimal interruption to production schedules. Analyze and plan maintenance workforce utilization, methods, tools, and equipment for maximum efficiency. Ensure that appropriate spare parts, tools, and equipment inventories are maintained. Perform equipment failure analysis and implement long-term improvements. Provide technical advice for plant operations and improvements. Prepare technical reports and presentations.
This position is responsible for coordinating USC’s health and safety program by ensuring compliance with established procedures to protect the health and safety of employees. Responsibilities also include maintaining technical documentation and assisting with reporting to comply with federal, state, and local regulations. This position will take a hands-on approach and work directly with plant personnel in order to implement continuous improvement from a safety viewpoint.
