General tasks

This position performs both mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment and machinery. Technicians install, maintain, upgrade, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and move machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings and work orders.

Maintenance Technicians are expected to be proficient in mechanical repair.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Certificate from Technical College preferred
• Experience working in a minerals processing plant preferred
• 3+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician at high volume industrial facilities
• Proven ability to express basic electronic, mechanical and hydraulic principles used in mechanical maintenance technician work assignments
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and schematics
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Highly disciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic
