General tasks

This position is responsible for implementing and overseeing an effective Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management system that will ensure ongoing compliance toward US Ceramics LLC standards and regulatory compliance, while continuously improving the company culture. Candidates MUST have in depth working knowledge of MSHA regulations. The EH&S Specialist, in conjunction with plant management and the safety committee, will provide guidance, technical support, and coordinate safety activities and processes to the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety
• 3+ years of EH&S experience or 5+ years of supervisory experience
• Prior oversight of Title V permit compliance; preferred
• Broad knowledge of federal and local statues related to industrial safety
• Must have strong substantive knowledge of workers’ compensation requirements
• Experience in the creation and delivery of training programs
